Midtown’s Biggest Loser Challenge

Encouraged by the popular “Biggest Loser”, Midtown stakeholders designed their own health & wellness program focused on losing pounds by eating smarter, moving more, and developing healthy habits while supporting each other. Prizes are awarded to the team and individuals losing the most pounds.

Season 1 Highlights (April – September):

  • April 2009- The group lost a combined total of 80 pounds. One participant reached her goal of losing 20 pounds.

Season 2 Highlights (February – May):

  • February 2010- This was the beginning of the second challenge. The activities consisted of Midtown stakeholders participating in 12 weekly sessions in an effort to lose pounds by eating smarter, moving more, and developing healthy habits while supporting each other. Healthy cooking, salsa dancing, and cardio workouts were the new components of the challenge. There was a prize for the team who lost the most and the individual who lost the most.
