Prosperity Center Opening

Midtown Partners, United Way of the Capital Area and Credability announce the opening of The Prosperity Center of Greater Jackson at 215 McTyere Avenue in Jackson, Mississippi. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Thursday, March 24, at 10:00 a.m.

Speakers included Mayor Harvey Johnson, Carol Burger, Robert Gibbs, Jonathan Lee, Sherry Rainey, Kristi Hendrix, Micheal Miller, and LaShanda Alexander. Marquita Thomas, Brittany Marshall, and Janice Honer, former students of the center, were also present to show their support.

The Prosperity Center is an innovative “one stop-shop” facility offering a variety of the essential components needed to prepare individuals and families to move toward self sufficiency. The components include TANF/SNAP benefits access, financial counseling, legal counseling, social activities, and technology resource room.
